Things must be getting bad if a rental truck company is banning groups. Penske has officially banned members of the white national group Patriot Front from renting its trucks. This comes after a yellow truck was used to protest Pridefest in Springfield, Missouri.

Penske Truck bans white supremacists from renting trucks

An innocent yellow Penske truck was involved in a hateful skirmish during Ozark Pridefest in downtown Springfield, Missouri.

Rental trucks are often used by the white nationalist hate group Patriot Front, and they’re officially banned from renting vehicles from Penske.

According to News Week, the group uses rented vehicles to transport members and equipment to demonstrations across the country.

A yellow truck was filmed pulling up to Pridefest as masked members of Patriot Front jumped out the back. They were dressed in khaki pants and carrying shields. A group of 20 men surrounded the perimeter of the event.

They stood peacefully and the Springfield Police Department shared that law enforcement didn’t have any interaction with the group. However, people attending the pride event started to yell at them.

You can see the men running to get back in the rental truck to drive away. Penske shared that these actions violated its rental agreement. It also called the incident unacceptable.

The counter-protestors left the area without committing any crimes. But Penske doesn’t want its trucks associated with the group and bans individuals from Patriot Front from future rentals

It also strongly condemns these individuals and their actions. Penske has taken a stance that may pressure other truck rental companies to review their policies. It could impact the ability of extremist groups to organize.
